This week @ Walmer
Knowing what to expect ahead of time can help us engage more fully with God during the worship service. Each week, you’ll find:
This section is updated weekly so you can read, listen, and pray in advance.

“I tell you my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more. But I will warn you whom to fear; fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God's sight. 7 But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows.
"And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God; but whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you are to defend yourselves or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that very hour what you ought to say."
Message Topic: Focus on Jesus; he has your back.
Listen to one of our newer songs.
This song reminds us of some of the ways God has shown his deep and abiding love for us, while leaving room for us to remember the things we have seen him do in our lives. Perhaps this song will inspire us to tell each other our stories of the great things God has done.

Communion is a symbolic reenactment of the last supper Jesus shared with his disciples. The bread (gluten-free) and juice symbolize his death, point to his resurrection, and remind us that through his death he defeated the power of sin and death over us. Everyone is free to choose for themselves whether to participate or not.
DIG DEEEPER into last week's sermon
Sunday, January 11th, 2026
This sermon challenges us to consider if we are people of light or people of darkness. Listeners are encouraged to remember that any darkness in us need not be the end of the story. As we make room for the Holy Spirit in our lives, we make room for Jesus, the light of the world, to make us people of light.
